Midnight Madness Schedule

The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. Sorry, no refunds.

8 p.m. - Registration

Check-in and t-shirt pickup will begin in the south parking lot of the San Diego County Administration building. If you receive a ride bib in the mail, you must bring it to the event. If you register with Active.com you will pick up your bib at the Active.com table the night of the event.

10 p.m. - Contests

This year’s REI Light the Bike and Alaska Airlines Costume Contests will take place before the ride. For the Alaska Airlines Costume Contest, wear your craziest costume, wildest pajamas or most absurd cycling apparel for your chance to win one of many fabulous prizes. Light up yourself and your bike to participate in the REI Light the Bike Contest. A select panel will judge the contests, and prizes will be awarded in multiple categories.

Midnight - Ride

The ride starts at midnight from the south parking lot of the San Diego County Administration Building. Riders will be let out in waves, so be prepared to wait. (This is a requirement from the City of San Diego and is for the safety of all riders!) You must have a bib number, helmet and bike light to participate.

**PLEASE NOTE The San Diego Police department will have a strong presence throughout the event, so please follow all traffic and safety laws to avoid being arrested or getting an expensive traffic citation. Remember that operating a bicycle while intoxicated is ILLEGAL and is considered to be Driving Under the Influence!!
